Early Learning

Children's readiness for school and beyond is fostered through individualized learning experiences. Through relationships with adults, play, and both planned and spontaneous instruction, children grow in many aspects of development. They progress in social skills, emotional well-being, language and literacy, and concept development.

Pathways 2 Learning utilizes Acelero Learning’s curriculum allowing teachers to use additional proprietary tools developed to build relationship-based individualized planning that is developed within daily routines. Each teacher develops and implements a highly individualized learning plan (ILP) for each of the children in their group based on careful observation of what children are working on and curious about, as well as information families share about their culture, goals, and priorities.

Pathways 2 Learning teachers utilize the Creative Curriculum®’s Intentional Teaching Cards, Mighty Minutes, and book reading guides. This highly individualized, routines-based approach to lesson-planning ensures intentional learning opportunities are embedded within each child’s routine activities throughout the day. Teachers then collaborate to develop Shared Play Plans using assessment data, daily observations, as well as the learning plans for each child.

At Pathways 2 Learning, we utilize ASQ’s developmental screenings. ASQ provides reliable, accurate developmental and social-emotional screening for children between birth and age 6. Drawing on parents’ expert knowledge, ASQ has been specifically designed to pinpoint developmental progress and catch delays in young children—paving the way for meaningful next steps in learning, intervention, or monitoring.

For the 2024-2025 program year, 85% of our enrolled children successfully pass their ASQ screenings, reflecting our commitment to their early development and well-being.
